1. The idea behind this blog is that writers have files titled: "Had to Write It," "Doodles," "Oh, Forget It," and "Ten Years On, That's Embarrassing." Writers grow, they shed on the way. This blog is for pieces that might not be so bad, but also are not that promising. At Not Worked Up we take our writing and our intellectual development with a nice dollop of humor.
2. Authors may publish here anonymously, especially those without tenure or position security. PMRSC understands that boards and bosses of all kinds can be magnificently without humor.
3. All entries must be sent to this address for posting: not worked up at gmail dot com. (You have to click that link). Subject heading: Not Worked Up, Your Last Name.
4. Entries should: max out at about 20 pp, be submitted in MS Word, and footnotes must be listed manually as endnotes due to the limitations of Blogspots's love for MS Word.
5. Entries are moderated for enjoyment and comments are moderated for one-up-man-ship, derision, miserly intellectual attitudes, basic meanness, and other modes of assininity.
6. Works published here must never have been, and must never be published in official venues for purposes of profit, academic, or professional advancement, or some combination of the three. See the Creative Commons License below. (This includes you, student trolling for ideas.) Do not be lazy on the back of our fun.
7. Examples of acceptable works: old term papers, comprehensive exam essays, poems, essays, short stories, book proposals, article ideas, marginalia, doodled and orphaned works of all written genres.
